Within a more global list (e.g. Energy) Is there a way to nest a secondary sort of sector and then industry? I get the first sort and draw a bust on the second....Thanks.

Nice idea, but me thinks you're trying to reach beyond the capabilities of StockFetcher.

 I do it here:
 http://finviz.com/screener.ashx?v=111&f=ind_steeliron,sec_basicmaterials
Also great site for news related to the tickers.
 And it's free.
 Cheers,
 Ludo

@ludo williams....thanks. I'm very familiar with Finviz and have been a long-time advocate/user of that site. But I wanted to leverage this capability within StockFetcher. I use STockcharts, stockfetcher, finivz and J3sg (institutional holders). Each has its own unique qualities.

Is it possible to create a custom indicator that is essentially the concantenation of sector+industry. This would give me what I'm looking for. I was not able to figure out how to do this.

Are the Sectors in StockFetcher identified with a number, such as 01-Auto?
 Same question with Industries?

@glgene--oddly enough one of my failed attempts at setting a variable and creating a custom column yielded a numeric--one that had negative numbers even. However, they were not consistent with the text coupled (e.g. sector+industry were different for same numerical). Oh well...so many great features, and there is of course a work around by simply choosing the sector/industry, but the mind wants what the mind wants!
