I was stopped out at about 14.12 - FAZ dropping like a rock now. Whoever was waiting for $9 might just get it.
Of course if I try shorting it today - that's just a guarantee it will go to $16! :)

I think energy stocks have turned the corner. I am looking for people on this board to submit their favorite energy plays...we will try to get in before Cramer and followers starts his ranting. We can make this board more dynamic if we have more participation...thanks everyone.
I will post my charts later.
My plays are: UPL: $39.68
CHK: $17.97
RIG: $61.57
VLO: $19.43
**********************************************************************************************************************************

UPL: $40.24
CHK: $20.70
RIG: $66.82
VLO: $21.00

HERO
APL
CPE
DPTR
---------------------------------
----------------------------------
April 9 update
HERO 1.93 - 1.92
APL 3.90 - 4.50
CPE 1.13 - 1.54
DPTR 1.30 - 2.49
Would have been up almost 22% if I wasn't such a cynic...imagine this is only the start of the upside though, eh?

It's difficult for the mass to buy stocks that are "out of favor". I changed my thinking a few years ago and it's not easy. I started shopping for winter gear at the end of winter at 70-80% discount, mass would buy before winter and pay full price. Christmas trees/decorations are sold at 80% off in January yet the mass prefer to pay full price in December. The same can be said for stocks, mass will buy at full price because of that same herd mentality.

So in your opinion is this market due for a good pullback?
and presently stocks are now being bought like decorations in Dec....
due to the recent move up?

The potential toxicity of personal credit debt and as-yet-unseen fallout of commercial real estate default coupled with the WFC nonsense (is it the analysts that are just downright stupid or is there something just irreconcilible in the "surprise"?) would be a bit worrisome.
Fear is not a sustainable emotion...people burnt out on fear now, but there's still plenty to be fearful of. No?

And, btw, Moby, stocks AREN'T being bought like xmas decorations...one day of above average volume does not convince me of heavy buying (additionally, considering BAC alone traded over a billion shares...by itself accounting for more than the entire increase in NYSE trading).
Personally, things don't appear to be stabilizing...they appear to be getting more and more fishy.

Sorry...and what the hell with retail leading the rally? To me, that smacks of speculation...and poor speculation to boot. Anyone without their head in the sand can walk down their main street and see stuff collapsing left and right...I live in one of the most affluent areas in the nation and the number of "for lease" signs has noticeably rocketed in just the past few weeks. Sorry to get all Peter Lynch, but his philosophy works both ways.
What will fill those spaces in the absence of Starbucks and Walmart expansion? The rebirth of small business? Hopefully...but what's that going to do for BBBY stock?
