Walid,,,,,,,lets clear this up I am a 40+ year old male with a wife and 2 kids.......I have a descent size 401 with the ability to trade the market......with some strings, no shorts, no options....
I did take a lesson from one of those TV schools......... the $200 I paid saved me 50k easy.......
OK here is the rest of the story..........
It was in April of 08 I opened my 401k statment, I took about a 12% hit.......before that day I didnt know a stock chart form an EKG chart..... I looked at my holdings Larg Cap small cap bonds I had know idea what I was doing. The next day I see this infomercial on Teach me Trade, free right, so I go to the free class and this guy is showing a chart of the S&P and the MACD cross heading down, the next day I put everything into the money market fund, then statred the long road to educate myself..... I paid for a 3 day class what was more of a sales pitch than anything.
I am looking at these guys and thinking if they can make a killing in the market why in the hell are the here trying to sell me education......the main speaker was the real deal though a real hot shit it well worth the 200.00.
........I hope I dont bore you all with my drivel but I have no one to talk too about the markets and trades.
When you take lessons...... you only learn how they do it........ I want to find how I do it.. not Johns way, not TROs way not a way in a book, but something I have discoverd by pulling ideas from everyone...some thing new......I learn something everytime I write a new filter.
I may consider a lesson, it couldn't hurt or a mentor.......who would you suggest?

Well, then my apologies for you and John. It seems like I tried to correct something that never been wrong to begin with. I had the best intentions at heart though and meant no offense what so ever to you or John. Actually the whole thing was suppose to be perceived on a much lighter tone but for some reason it didn’t. When I said “paid for lessons” I meant the money you lose or leave on the table as you go such as the $1.4 you missed when you exited SDS early. I wasn’t suggesting to actually starting taking lessons in some school. As a matter of fact, my experience when I started wasn’t so different from yours, most of what to be taught are already in the books and anyone is offering a seminars or any other teaching service is only explaining what is in the books with opportunity to ask questions and so on. I don’t have any problem with seminars or any other teaching tool as long as it is marketed honestly and not promising what is impossible to deliver which, unfortunately, is the case in most of the services available in this business. As for the mentor, we are all here to help. Personally, I will be happy to provide any help I can. The most important advice I can give you is to try your best to keep yourself in the game. This is the most, MOST important thing. You seem to be taking your trading endeavor seriously and there is no doubt that with time and practice you will develop your own strategy sooner or later. The most important thing is to be in the game when this happen. One way to do this is not to trade for the money in this early stage. Trade the setup with small lot size so the cost of developing your skills doesn’t drive you out of business. As for the spelling as a signal, I can send you a letter written by the head of customer service department in a prestigious German auto company, she wrote a 4 paragraphs letter with 13 grammatical errors, 5 spelling errors and one embarrassing mistake such as dropping the word “contact” from “Please contact me directly (xxx)-xxx-xxxx” turning it into “Please me directly (xxx)-xxx-xxxx”
Wish you all best of luck
